Located in Santo Antônio In addition to Carmo, one of the most charming districts of Salvador, Giramundo Hostel welcomes its guests in a house whose construction dates back more than 280 years, preserving, thus, some traces of the architecture of the time, besides of a charming façade covered by Portuguese tiles. Here you will find spacious and cozy rooms. Our accommodation has a 24-hour reception, a living space in which the guest can enjoy a bar, a television room equipped with Chromecast (device that allows Smart TV to be controlled through our guest's Smartphone), bathroom, breakfast area, and a fully equipped kitchen for those wishing to prepare their own meals. On the upper floor, there are three shared rooms, with a capacity of 6 to 8 people each, with a balcony with a hammock in one. Rooms are furnished with blackout drapes / curtains and ceiling fans. For more convenience, this floor also has two bathrooms. In the lower floor, the guest will have access to an open living area, in which there is a bathroom and a garden. Also on this floor, those who prefer a more privacy experience can choose to stay in one of the two private, air-conditioned suites found there. Santo Antônio Beyond Carmo is the part of Salvador preferred by tourists. Like the house in which Giramundo Hostel operates, the neighborhood preserves the facades of the properties here, giving the place an historical and yet cozy atmosphere. In addition, it has numerous bars, restaurants, cafes, galleries and the most beautiful sunset in the city. The excellent location allows the guest, for more of the wonders that the Santo Antônio Além do Carmo can offer, easily access other sights of the city. The Giramundo Hostel is located 700 meters from the Pelourinho, allowing you to reach the destination by an 8-minute walk, an 11-minute walk to Mercado Modelo, and its easy access through the Pilar Incline Plan, located in front of the our hostel. In addition to the Historic Center of Salvador, guests can also enjoy other well-liked places in the city: The Rio Vermelho neighborhood, located on Salvador's seafront, concentrates a rich nightlife, being considered the most bohemian neighborhood in the city. The edge of the Barra neighborhood also hosts many attractions, among which are the Barra Lighthouse, which houses the Nautical Museum of Bahia, and the beach of Porto da Barra, loved by soteropolitanos and those who come here to visit. more!
