The car they provided us stopped working on day 2 of our trip, leaving us without a functioning car. The office was closed, and the emergency number they provided did not work. Worse still, the woman (sofia) who helped us make the reservation read our whatsapp messages asking for help, and chose not to respond. When they finally picked up our car on day 5 of our trip, they did not offer us a refund, despite us paying for 5 days of a working vehicle. I would not recommend them.

Everything from mex rent a car was good, however, almost became an issue of not getting my rental car. I will explain; when the staff at the airport office confirmed that they had my reservation in their system and he took my credit card information, he proceeded to call the pickup place to notify them that i was ready to pick the car up then at that moment he was told that they did not have the car. I started fricking out! minutes later they said they had one but needed to be cleaned and put some gas. The staff explained to me that they had experienced this situation in the past due to despegar website does not close the reservation on time so people continue making reservations even when excede the numbers of cars available.

I had a great experience with hdc, the booking process was quick and easy and the office staff were very friendly and helpful. The car was in excellent condition and was delivered to me on time. I highly recommend this rental company to anyone who needs to rent a car in miami.

2. This is my first time renting a vehicle of this company, my experience was not perfect, but i would not say that it is the worst. They attended me quickly, they gave me a vehicle in good condition and i was able to pay the booster seats of my nephews who were not included in the rent. I think it is a good company and that i can recommend it.

Expensive deductible of 5000 usd. Makes no sense booking through despegar and then having to pay extra to lower the deductible. In addition you can’t change the insurance company.

The car that i booked did not have it, they gave me another one of lower capacity and less comfort for the same price, without air conditioning, i claimed firefly, they did not fix it or they changed my car, i spent every day suffering with the heat

There was no one to provide information about the car rental agency by the time we arrived to the airport. We had to go back to the airport to pick p the car next day and it took us an average of 3 hours to get the car. The customer service in the car agency mentioned that despegar didn't send some kind of release form and it took a very long time (about an hour and a half) to have a solution. It was very hard to get in hold with someone from despegar. The car was in very bad shape, all messed up with terrible tires. i needed an additional car for the following days and i went directly to hertz.

The rental process was smooth, which made my experience even better. Will behaved very well. This is the second time i have rented with them. I will recommend them and i will rent with them again in 2 months when i come to miami.

We got to our destination early and since we had our reservation at 11 am, keddy told me that we had to wait for our reservation time, when time came, they said they did not have our car, that we had to wait an undetermined amount of time because they relayed on the cars that ware been returned. After almost 2 hours, i asked them about the cars parked in the lot, they said those ware full-size cars and my reservation was for a mid size car, those came at an extra cost and that i had to purchase 0 deductible insurance. Also, the car did not have a full tank of fuel, even thou the gas station ys a half a block away. while i was sitting in the office, i overheard them pushing extra insurance on every customer, telling them that the insurance they had did not fulfill the mexico law and that they had to purchase e higher one, some of them at $50 dollars per day!!! it became clear that their main business is selling insurance, not renting cars.

When customer service rep saw the low rate we got she downgraded our vehicle to a smaller vehicle instead of mid-size we reserved. She wanted to charge us more money for the mid size. It took us one and a half hours to get out of thrifty only one customer service rep and constantly complaining she was tired. Another thing is that we were traveling to mexico city and we needed a special paper to drive in mexico city which she said it was my responsibility and that i had to submit and print. Upon arrival into mexico city we got pulled over because vehicle had no verification which was an inconvenience for us to be held up for almost an hour trying to explain to the officers that it was a rental and it wasn't our responsibility if vehicles are missing any of the items they required to circulate. We called the 1-800 number they provided us for any emergency and they never answered. It said to call back during business hours. That is completely unacceptable for a customer not being able to reach someone at any time of the day for assistance.

It was a poor experience regarding counter service. First i had to wait 50 minutes to receive the vehicle. I had reserved a 7 passengers automatic vehicle but it wasn't available only had a 5 passengers automatic vehicle but with a higher price. We were 6 people. I took a manual vehicle. also, avis charged me an additional fee for renting inside this airport. Other companies inside this airport don't charge it. Next time i will avoid renting in this company. for return, they don't checked the vehicle, only told me that they will call me if there is a problem.

I didn't receive any information to let me know that sixt didn't have a counter at the airport and that i needed to look for a shuttle to their location. I incurred u$25 cost for a taxi ride to their location (yes, i got ripped off!).

Very bad attention, they didn't wait for us with the car ready, 1 hour wait for the car to be delivered. They indicate that if you have an accident, they charge you the value of the crash and then they should see the replacement of the money with take off directly.

The guy at the counter was also rude telling me he was going to charge a 500 dollar deposit if i chose to get full coverage and 1,500 dollars if not. I was never told of any additional fees when booking the car

9. the vehicle i booked had a light on the dashboard on and at the moment they replaced it and gave me a better category as an apology, and even helped me with my son and a seat for him at a very low cost. I will always come back to rent, excellent service
